Ferntree Gully is set to enhance its community spirit with the launch of the Under the Fern Trees Market. Opening on March 1, 2025, and recurring on the first Saturday of each month (except January), this new market will be located at 6 The Avenue, next to the Uniting Church, operating from 9 am to 2 pm. The market will feature a unique mix of fresh produce, handmade goods, and live entertainment.

Andreja Trobec, the event organiser, aims to create a vibrant space for locals to connect and celebrate diversity, while promoting sustainability. The market will become a cornerstone of Ferntree Gully Village life, offering stalls with fresh produce, homemade goods, arts and crafts, and more. Supporting community groups and First Nations people, the market emphasises diversity and sustainability.

Visitors can expect a lively atmosphere filled with live music, performances, workshops, and exhibitions. Each market day will foster a sense of belonging, encouraging interaction and collaboration within the community.
